| ** | The present stone castle at Lincoln dates back to 1068 and is on the site of the original roman fortress. Each year Lincoln castle plans a variety of events and entertainment which we hope will appeal to everyone in the community and visitors to the city. The events range from medieval re-enactments to brass bands and cream teas.
Our programme for 2002 features favourites such as the Jousting Tournament,
and the Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Rally. Also for 2002 will be sensational

| ** | Once again you will be able to experience what life was really like in a Victorian Prison, and the horrors of medieval battles, fought out in front of your eyes. You can also relax and enjoy a peaceful Sunday afternoon listening to a brass band whilst enjoying a traditional English tea Throughout the summer, from easter until the end of October, there are free guided tours of the Castle every day at 11.00am and 2.00pm which last approximately an hour and a half ** | |
